I've been doing cold email for over 10 years and I am the founder of consulting.

Now today I'm going to be walking you through the platform, helping you go from beginner to expert and get the most out of all of our incredible features.

So let's dive right in, shall we?

Now, if you're new to consulting, we've got a couple different plans that I'll go into later.

But first I wanted to walk through kind of the core features inside of consulting.

What makes it unique, how to really get the most of these features.

Because it does a lot.

We designed this to be the cold email tool to replace all of the other lead databases and verifiers and Clay and Apollo and all of the other stuff that you're using now.

This was not designed to replace your Instantly or your smart leader email bison or your sequencer.

It works hand in hand with your sequencer and that should be all that that you need.

So if you're new and you're just getting started, you may have already seen this little onboarding guide pop up.

If you don't see it, you can come into your settings and go ahead and restart the Quick start and it'll guide you through answering a couple questions where you are in your cold email journey.

So I'm going to say I run an agency.

I'm going to say I'm sending but inconsistent.

I'm going to say I'm selling to B2B companies what my sequencer is and then it's going to scan your offer.

You're going to be able to reuse this at multiple points throughout using the software.

So let's actually use my PR firm, OtterPR.com that's going to scan my offer and now it's going to know exactly what I do, who I sell to.

Then you can connect your sequencer.

So we're going to support multiple sequencers Instantly is obviously the most popular.

We also support smart lead and email Bison.

I'm going to skip this step for now.

You can build generate an API key and use our API.

This is only available on paid plans and if you ever want to check out our API documentation, I'll show you how to access that quickly.

I'm going to skip this step as well.

Then you'll have this onboarding guide basically created for you.

It's going to follow you to all of the core pages until it's complete.

So as you can see I've already done most of these steps through the software knows that I have.

But if you're getting started for the first time and you're new to cold email, you might want to consider following this onboarding guide and some of the items here.

Calculate your sending scale.

So how many mailboxes do you need?

How many cold emails should you be sending?

Setting up your sending infrastructure.

Maybe you need cold email mailboxes and domains.

You don't have those yet.

Diagnosing and optimizing your existing sequences, Adding your website and offer, nailing your offer and writing your copy.

Connecting your sequencer, finding your first leads, cleaning up your lead list, pushing it to a sequencer.

So let's walk through some of these core features.

Now, if you're just getting started with Consulte for the first time, or you're just getting started with cold email for the first time, you're going to want to start here, which is cold email tools and infrastructure setup.

Now you can actually set up your cold email mailboxes and domains all from inside of consulte and instantly.

Your next step is going to be to set up your cold email infrastructure.

So this is super simple.

You can decide how many mailboxes you want and all you have to do is put in your sender name, your website URL, the number of mailboxes and everything will be set up and include installed and warmed inside of your instantly for you.

So I made this as simple as it could possibly be.

However, if you want more control over your cold email inboxes, maybe you want Google Mailboxes or Microsoft.

It's really simple.

I want to spend more time talking about the consulting features.

So once you've configured your infrastructure, they're warming up.

Awesome.

Let's move on to probably the hardest thing that most cold emailers get wrong.

And that's the copy and the targeting.

now.

I've built thousands of campaigns over the past 10 years that I've been doing cold email.

I've learned a lot from these lessons and I also control probably over a thousand different, cold email campaigns from various clients.

I know what works.

We actually built an AI copywriter in here that's unlike anything that you've ever seen before.

This is going to be a free tool that you can use, one to three times, I don't remember exactly, and it takes you through the exact steps that need to be taken in order to generate actual great cold email copy that works.

So let me walk you through this AI copywriter right now.

So I'm going to go ahead and create a fresh campaign for Otter pr, my PR agency.

We're going to do this from scratch.

So let's go ahead and scan my website, otterpr.com it's going to scan my website using our API tools.

You don't have to put in any API documentation yet.

Now it's going to come up with an offer description, a target audience.

Review these to make sure that they're working correctly.

And by the way, guys, if anything's not working correctly, you can really quickly report a problem.

Let us know and we fix things like crazy.

We're shipping new fixes and bug repairs and new features all the time.

So come in here and make any edits that you want and then go ahead and click Next.

Next.

It's going to analyze your offer, it's going to figure out your icp, it's going to figure out your messaging, it's going to figure out what the common objections for that ICP are.

And chances are we've got a lot of back end data to support the sequences and the information that we're going to be giving you.

Because like I said, I've been doing this for a long time.

We know what ICP to target, we know what to target for your offer.

We know what messaging works, we know what the objections are.

Now this is what no other AI copywriter does.

Tone and style.

You can actually customize this to what your preferences are.

Obviously, if this was just for me, I've got my own tone and style That I like.

so you can keep it as default.

It's going to default based on your ICP that it comes up with.

So you might be a bro and saying common phrases that are okay in conversation with your friends.

It might not be good for messaging to your icp.

So customize that for your ICP if possible and then you can add or remove words to use and avoid.

Generate some sample sentences to see if everything matches email sign off.

So if you want any sort of signature, if this all looks good in terms of tone, you can go ahead and just click next.

Obviously you can make changes as needed.

Next it's going to give you some options for writing the messaging.

So based on your offer and your icp, it's going to come up with some angles to test.

You can test more than one.

So this is where the A B testing actually gets really cool, really powerful.

So this is how many emails you want in your sequence.

Right now I have it set to four by default.

And maybe you want to try a, poke the bear angle and you want to try a direct angle.

Now it's going to give you AB tests, sequence type either direct pitch or value first.

Maybe you just give them some value.

You, you can leave with case study curiosity or you can test, you can select multiple.

I don't suggest selecting more than two each to start.

If you select all of them, you're not going to be able to gather data in an efficient way.

So what I would recommend is read through all of these and select your top two and then we're going to leave that at four and it's going to go ahead and write the copy for us, including the AB variations.

So let's give this a second to fit.

Finish up.

All right, now it is writing the copy and it is All right, now you're about to be blown away by the quality of the copy that this thing generates.

Now if you are on a free plan, you're not going to be able to do things like A B testing and pushing to sequencer, but you're still going to be getting a lot of the benefit from this specific tool.

Now as you can see, all of this different copy is AB tested.

So, so here's variation one.

You can toggle to see the poke the bear, the direct offer, variation D.

And obviously you can reconfigure and create as well.

So if you don't like something, you can come back and change your angles and do it again.

You can also regenerate if you don't like what it came up with with some prompts to help it along and do the right thing on the second try.

Now, your goal here is to get a sequence that you're very happy with because the sequence is going to get pushed directly to your cold email sequencer.

Now, once you're comfortable with your sequence, I recommend reading it.

you can then continue to export and save.

So I'm going to go ahead and click that button and now you're going to have a few options here.

You're going to be able to see all of your variations as like a final review.

You can export as CSV text, PDF, you can export as syntax and you can also control the amount of syntax.

That's also going to be a paid plan.

And if you are on a paid plan with Consulta, you can push it directly to your sequencer and it's going to create the AB variations, it's going to add the spin tax, it's going to do all the variables correctly.

So this is going to save you a ton of time actually setting this up.

And no other platform that I've seen does what this does, adding it to the sequencer in the correct format.

now, once you like what you see here and you've pushed it to the sequencer, you've exported it, you've saved it for later, you can go ahead and save and complete and at any time you can come and see your saved sequences.

Now let's go on to the next step.

Now that you've got a campaign, you've got copy, it's inside of your cold email sequencer, you've got mailboxes.

We've, we've already done two of the hardest things within the cold email world.

The third thing is list building and cleaning.

Now I'm going to just glaze over some of the other functionality and tools here before I go on to probably the core feature of Consulte, which is its lead database and its list optimization features.

So coming under cold email tools.

If you're already running a campaign, or maybe you're launching this campaign and it's, it's not quite right, you can run campaign Dr.

The next thing is spin tax generator.

So maybe you don't want to use our cold email copy generator.

This is going to be another paid tool, but this is actually going to help you deploy SaaS lead magnets into your cold email campaigns, into your business so that you can share, not just hey, do you want me to send this PDF?

That's what this is going to build for you.

Ultra powerful.

But I'm going to save this for a dedicated tutorial.

Right now I want to talk to you about list building and qualification and cleaning.

So let's talk about lead databases.

Under lead database you're going to see a few different types of databases.

B2B leads.

This is your typical Apollo zoom info.

People who are on LinkedIn, we probably have their email saved in our B2B lead database.

Local leads is going to be Google Maps, businesses, restaurants, auto shops, local car dealerships.

Places that aren't typically on LinkedIn are going to be on this local leads database and creator leads.

We have YouTubers, podcasters, and we're adding Instagram very soon.

So let's go ahead and select this B2B lead database.

Now what you're going to see here is a very familiar layout if you've used platforms like Apollo or ZoomInfo.

But we've got a step ahead and really optimize this for cold email.

We know that you probably want decision makers emails.

So all you have to do to get all of the decision makers into your list.

Instead of having to go through all of the job titles one by one, we've auto selected them for you.

As part of that decision makers toggle, we've also got a verified only toggle so that you so that you can make sure that the emails that you're pulling into your list are verified.

Now one of the amazing things about Consultee is we verify every email within three months of you downloading it.

So if we say an email is verified, we're Telling you it's been verified within three months of you using it.

No other database does that.

So other than these easy toggles and the last date it was verified, there's not much unique about this other than the price.

Not only is it going to be hyper valid data, but it's going to be significantly cheaper than any of our competitors.

You'll be able to save to new only.

you'll be able to easily see which leads are new, which ones are saved, the total.

You'll be able to exclude lists of previous saved.

You'll be able to exclude lists so that you don't end up scraping the same leads twice or paying for the same leads twice.

And then once you've got your list dialed in, you can go ahead and export directly to a campaign.

So, so you can go ahead and select all you can see the option to select all here you can add to a list.

So saved list, this is what I'm excluding here.

You can export directly to an instantly or an email bison campaign.

You can just go ahead and export and you can save your search.

Now one thing to note is that if you save add these to a list.

Say I add 25 of these to a list, this is going to be a B2B list.

You can't put B2B leads, local leads and creator leads all into the same list.

So you can create a new one or add them to an existing list.

Let's go ahead and look at the unique databases that we have that nobody else does.

So starting on the local leads database that you see here, We're using Google Maps data to pull local businesses, find the owner's names and get the owner's email addresses.

Nobody else has that data.

And as you can see it is growing at a significant pace.

Now you'll see a lot of the same filters on the left hand side and some new ones.

So has owner email or has role based email.

So if you've been cold emailing for a while, you know the owner is best.

But if in the past you've reached out to local businesses, you're probably just reaching out to hello contact info.

you're usually not reaching out to the owners.

This is something really unique about consulting.

Other people do not have this data.

Now for Google my business data, local businesses, you're looking for business keywords.

So pizza, we're looking for pest control things along.

And applying these keywords is going to search through our database and find the best matches for you.

You can also, of course, filter by state, city, zip code, Or you can just select all.

If you're looking for the United States and Canada, we hopefully will expand this beyond US and Canada for local businesses.

But for now, that's what our focus is.

You can look at ratings and number of reviews and search for the businesses that you need.

And the same thing applies here.

You can select leads, add them to a list, exclude lists so that you can build your local business database list that you can then push to your sequencer.

Now let's look at our creator database.

Nobody else has this.

This is a really unique feature of Consulte.

Right now we've got YouTubers and podcasters, but we'll be adding Instagram creators and course creators very, very soon.

But for now, we have a ton of YouTubers, a ton of podcasters with the personal email addresses already found.

And you can do the same thing with lists.

You can determine whether you need their email or not.

If you don't need their email, obviously we have way more podcasts and youtubers.

You can go by subscribers and you could go by country.

But the most important thing here is the keywords.

So if you're looking for like a business channel, this is going to look for business YouTube channels.

And as you can see, we've got a lot of their email addresses.

No other database has this information.

This is really unique to consulte.

Now, once you've got your lists dialed in, let's come into the lists module because this is where you're going to do the next step, which is actually optimize your lists and get those leads into your campaign.

So you'll see up here the leads that you have.

This is going to be a list of all of your lists and then local businesses, public podcast lists, YouTube lists.

So let's go ahead and grab one of my B2B lists here.

This one's got 6700 leads.

In order for me to use this list to get it into the sequencer, first, I want to verify it again because you can trust us, we do a good job with verification.

But even if you were paying a dollar a lead to zoom info, I would still say to verify your leads.

so before adding directly to your sequencer what you're going to want to do is actually run this through Hyper Cleaner.

So this is another tool that's going to be accessible only for paid users.

So what Hyper Cleaner does is it does everything that we used Clay for in the past.

Verification, catch all verification, personalization qualification and list cleaning.

So this tool is going to do all of it.

You can upload your own list or you can come and pull it from one of your saved lists.

And in fact if you come into your list and you say add to sequencer, it's actually going to give you the option to clean it first using one of the presets and run cleaning or you can skip and send directly to your sequencer.

Now coming back into Hyper Cleaner, before I actually run this, let's talk about these presets.

So if you're setting this up for the first time, we have a smart default, but you can also create a new preset.

So I'm going to call this.

Yeah, LGJ test sounds good to And then we've got a couple options that you can choose from as presets.

Basic cleanup.

This one's going to be free.

Now you can bring your own API keys here and do some of the more complex things like email verification, catch all verification.

Those are going to require credits which you have up here in the right hand side.

You can also bring your perplexity or your open router API keys to do qualification and personalization and enrichment directly in here.

So let's go ahead and select this advanced setup just so you can see what operations are added here by default.

one's going to dedupe by email.

Drop disposable emails, Drop rule based emails, Normalize company names, normalize names.

Those are all free operations.

Those are just done with code.

Now if you want to do verification and drop the bads and the riskies and the unknowns, you can run that as an operation.

Now obviously we do have our bulk upload tool so that you can upload your list here if you want to do this in these different steps.

But I highly recommend using Hypercleaner because it does all of it at once.

Now let's look at some of the other operations that we can choose from from here.

Cleaning job titles, splitting full name, extracting domain, qualifying the lead.

I'm going to go ahead and add both of these just so I can show you the power of these tools.

let's go ahead and add these two operations here.

Now you are going to need a API key to qualify the leads.

We don't pay for those API calls.

So you'll add it here and it'll just ask you to go through and paste all of the open API keys that you want to use.

OpenAI anthropic I actually recommend using OpenRouter because you can choose any model and then Perplexity is my obvious choice for personalization.

It gets the most information by far so that you can actually do really high quality personalization.

You'll paste your API keys here so that you can use these and then you can actually select from some of these pre saved ICPs Or you can load one of your offers that's already saved.

You can set what's going to disqualify them for you.

You can set your strict.

And what qualified lead is going to do?

This is by far one of the most powerful things in cold email.

You can do as good as you want with the filters, but the chances are there's going to be 4 out of 10 people on your lead list that are not actually going to be a good fit for the offer.

If you can get those four out of ten out of there with this qualified lead step, you're going to get 2x better reply rates and long term your campaign is going to be much healthier.

So I always recommend using this if you can.

The other thing that you can run is this personalized opener.

So you'll connect your perplexity API key you can select an opener angle.

You can use one of our predefined ones or you can write your own so that it'll generate a nice personalized first line for you.

We'll also be adding an operation in here to add directly to the sequencer once this is done.

So you can select the campaign to put these leads into.

So this is a super powerful tool called Hyper cleaner.

Now if you want we also have this bulk upload tool.

So if you just want to upload some leads, let's go ahead and do a little test right now and what you'll see is that we actually offer a two phase verification including SMTP verification, which is the one that you're probably used to, the most common one.

And then after that verification is done, you're going to have a lot of emails that come back risky catch all you can run a phase two verification all in one shot.

So that you can actually verify those Catch all emails so that you know you can email them safely.

So with that being said, let's walk you through some of the options that you have before you.

So our most popular plan is scale.

That gives you 30,000 leads per month, 30,000 bulk verifications.

You can use all of the tools and you can use the API Pro, also gives you access to all of the tools.

Every database is going to be unlocked and you get 10,000.

So you get a much better value here and then an insane value here as it goes to titan plan.

At 397, you get 100,000 leads per month.

You also get to request custom scrapes.

So maybe we're missing something in the creator database or the local database.

We prioritize our titan subscriptions to push those requests ahead.

You can filter leads, any of the databases, add them to a list, verify them.

You can exclude lists within these searches.

No other database lets you actually push leads from consulting right into your campaign, all from your cloud code.

If any of these endpoints are not fully working, you will see beta or coming soon.

That is very likely now because of how complex some of these endpoints are.

Like searching a lead's database with all of the filters, please make sure that you and your LLM are using all of the correct requested information, especially the canonical filter values.

So if you're using the B2B lead database, these are the acceptable industries, these are the acceptable countries and the specific format that's needed for those API requests.

But if you give this to your LLM, they should not have a problem with it.

You should be able to do just about everything with our API without ever having to log in to consulte.

We are aspiring to be the most AI friendly lead database on the market.

and we are shipping updates and bug fixes and new features all the time.
